2014 National Working Group on Improving Business Investment Climate

The Business Council of Papua New Guinea played host to the launching of the first 2014 National Working Group on Improving Business Investment Climate at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Port Moresby this morning.

 

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill was present to officiate formalities in front of the business community, government representatives and stakeholders.

 

The breakfast included national networking amongst the private and public sector on improving business in PNG.

 

The breakfast was well-attended by members of the private and public sector.

 

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill arrived moments later to address the business community.

 

President of the Business Council of PNG, David Toua, in his opening remarks, asked the government to protect foreign investment and domestic industries.

 

Chief Secretary to Government, Sir Manasupe Zurenuoc who heads the NWGIBIC, says the government will ensure maximum opportunity for Papua New Guineans to participate in business ventures.

 

Mr O’Neill also pledged to the business community that the government is focused with the budget to eradicate all impediments to business.
