Landowners Invest in Real Estate

Boera Holdings Limited has invested intothe Real Estate Business and will build a town 20 kilometers outside Port Moresby covering 155 kilometres.

To be called Edai town,the development plan was launched today at Boera.

The project will be managed by Portion 11 Management Limited, a subsidiary of Boera Holdings in partnership with JC-KRTA Consulting Group.

Though it was 20 kilometres out ofthe city, Prime Minister Peter Ou2019Neill and ther important dignitaries were present to gracethe occasion.

Chairman ofthe management company Portion 11 Limited, Madaha Maina said Edai town will be a modern satellite township with most if not allthe facilities found in a modern town.

Edai isthe name ofthe man who initiatedthe Hiri Trade. The name signifies modern trade where this town will bring income for the Boera people, just likethe Hiri Trade brought food for them.

Central Governor Kila Haoda while congratulating his people for this initiative stressedthe need for people to let go ofthe handout mentality and start to be self-reliant.

He sain PNG has taken away all benefits from Central province and this wasthe way forward for his people.

Althoughthere is no power or water connectivity to this area, Chairman of Boera Holdings Sir Moi Avei believes in making Edai Town a reality.

Prime Minister Peter Ou2019Neill said developing a satellite town wasnu2019t an easy task but thankedthe landowners for thinking beyond and initiating this project.

He said landowners from aroundthe country should learn from this and start utilisingtheir land instead of sellingthem. He promised to bring water and power to this part ofthe province next year.
