Usino Bundi Member of Parliament, Anthon Yagama, wants all elites in his electorate to be educated one way or the other. Mr Yagama said the education system must not be seen as a downturn of youths being left out as dropouts.
He said the education system has done injustice to students over the past 35 years and he wants to see students get educated with relevant skills and knowledge to move this country forward.
Despite having a tight budget, Mr Yagama will push to fund students from his electorate who are enrolled at higher institutions around the country. “My acquittals have been handed over and shortly the district will receive its 2014 DSIP funds”, he added.
Mr Yagama is adamant that funding will be secured to support students around the country to pursue their studies. “Education is the key for Usino Bundi, Madang and PNG to progress”, added Mr Yagama.
The electorate is making big investments into its human resource by paying school fees for its students. Over 150 students from the Usino Bundi electorate are enrolled in 74 institutions around the country.
