Work begins on Sir John Guise Stadium

Work has begun atthe Sir John Guise Stadium in preparation for the 2015 Pacific Games.

Groundwork is evident and heavy machineries are on sight. Work started on Monday by global construction.

 

Workmen have to getthe stadium ready for the main events in 2015.

 

Atthe groundbreaking ceremony two weeks ago, Prime Minister Peter O’Neill saidthe 2015 Pacific Games is a good gift tothe nation given thatthe country will be celebrating its 40th independence whilethe Government remains focus on assisting athletes to win gold.

 

Bethe timethe construction is completed at allthe Games venuesPNG will have threeWorld Class stadiums catering for up to twenty thousand.

 

The O’Neil Dion Government is adamant on deliveringthe Games on time, while working with all sporting codes in futher developing athletes and infrastructure.

 

The Sir John Guise Outdoor stadium will hostthe Games Opening and Closing ceremonies.
