A Memorial Service was held on Monday to honour victims of sexual and domestic violence.
Held at the Sioni Kami Memorial Church, it was a small turn out by women groups who took time to offer a prayer, lay a flower, and light a candle in honour of loved ones.
The service is part of “20 days of activism against violence” which is observed annually from November 20th to December 10th.
This year’s theme is, “Caring for women is caring for the nation.”
Today the women travelled around the city sending messages of LOVE.
They emphasised on Love as Love your mother; love your father; love your community – respect the land; respect the people of this land; and have self-control.
Their awareness was based on the theme, which was all about loving and caring.
