by Dion Kombeng – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

The venues and facilities used during the recent 2015 Pacific Games will be not be available for public use for at least another three months. This was announced today by CEO of the PNG Sport Foundation, Peter Tsiamalili Jnr.

Each of the venues will now undergo final either final constructions, or minor cosmetic changes, which in turn will see them available for public use.

Although it seems likely that the venues will be ready in the not-too-distant future, each individually will have a different timeframe in terms of their completion.

The venues were considered ‘games ready’ for the 2015 Pacific Games but were not 100% complete, with the various the construction companies now needing to complete the venues according to their contractual agreemen’s.

Peter Tsiamalili Jr said that the venues will be available for public use towards the latter part of this year.

He also said that each of the venues has been appointed a manager, who will be responsible for making sure that these facilities are properly maintained.
