One woman and a man from Ialibu-Pangia in the Southern Highlands province and one man from East New Britain province have been arrested for impersonating during polling in East New Britain this week.
East New Britain provincial police commander, Snr Inspector Joseph Tabali said the trio were using names of deceased people and former residents of their ward to cast their votes.
PPC Tabali said other voters alerted security personnel at the polling venue and they were arrested and locked up at the Kokopo police cell.
The incident happened in Kokopo and Gazelle Districts respectively.
Tabali said people who breach election laws will not be taken lightly.
