Travel Air Customers frustrated For Ongoing Flight Delays

Passengers traveling on a Travel Air Mangi long Ples flight to Port Moresby today were left waiting as early as 5am this morning.

Frustrated passengers told EMTV that Travel Air had been inconsistent with their flight schedules and this has been an ongoing problem.

The management were unreachable for comments, however it is understood that they had failed to advice their passengers about the changes with the flight schedule.

Some had travelled in from the Highlands, and spent the night at the airport to get on the plane at 6am.

Others took an early morning drive to the airport, waiting till 9am for the check in booth to open.

The flight was scheduled for 7 and 8am this morning, with passengers told to check in at 6am.

Many arrived around 5am. The endless waiting made them restless.

There was a passenger who was on a business trip who expressed frustration over missing his appointment.

This is not the first time passengers have expressed concerns about Travel Air’s ongoing flight delays and reschedules.

Passengers are again calling on the management to have the courtesy to notify customers about the right information on flight schedules.

In today’s incident, passengers had to call the Travel Air office in Madang only to find out that their flight was rescheduled to 1:00pm.

In the meantime, Travel Air’s Lae Port Manager Saipul Alam told EMTV over the phone that this could be due a reschedule of flights which passengers were not notified about.
