General Team Manager for Team NCD, Kila Dick, told EMTV that their preparations are going well, as all team managers and coaches are finalising their needs, with funding as their first priority.
He said, Team NCD’s main goal for the upcoming PNG Games, is to win gold, in both individual and team competitions.
The team is in its final stages of preparations, with all coaches and team managers working hand in hand on finalising the team selections, and to get their athletes through medical check-ups.
Team NCD will send a contingent of 700 athletes, including coaches, team managers, security personnel and VIP guests.
He said the team has already raised K1.1 million and more corporate functions will be organised to reach the target amount of K2.2 million, which is needed to take care of athletes, and also help towards security, logistics and other necessary expenses.
