St John Ambulance Outline New Year’s Eve Operations

The St. John Ambulance has anticipated a busy New Year Eve Operation in the streets of Port Moresby.

They have assigned 7 Ambulances on the road from 6 pm to 6 am the next day, plus 3 Rapid Response Units.

These Ambulances have on board Ambulance Officers, Reservists, and Clinicians, including Registered Nurses and a Specialist Paramedic.

A team of Specialist Emergency Doctors is also on-call to assist the Ambulance Officers and Paramedics.

The Ambulances will be stationed across the 3 zones – Moresby-South, Moresby North-West, and Moresby North-East.

Outside Centre includes Central Province and East New Britain.

Any seriously ill or injured persons will be transported to Port Moresby General Hospital in NCD and ENB Hospitals for further assistance.

St. John Ambulance would like to remind city residents to celebrate responsibly and with care.
