PNG High Performance Centre of Excellence (HPCE) launched a Sports Leadership program yesterday which was witnessed by Minister for Sport, Justin Tkatchenko, and PNG Sports Foundation CEO, Peter Tsiamalili Jr.
Director of PNG HPCE, Aaron Alsop, said the program is to help athletes and coaches in Papua New Guinea, to further their education in sports and other related areas within sports.
The workshop is set to provide and assist with upskilling of PNGs sports men and women, to not only teach what they learn in the country but also within the region.
Both Sulueti Tarasomo, Coach Performance Manager, and Tom Frost, Sports Science Manager, described the new program as a way forward for PNG athletes and coaches.
