South Seas Tuna Aids Villagers

Wewak based Tuna loining (steak) and canning giant, the South Seas Tuna Corporation has come to the aid of Maguwerr villages in Dagua, Wewak East Sepik province.

SSTC donated 100 kilograms of fresh tuna to Maguwerr yesterday.

 

The reason being to raise funds for a planned trip to Domil which is located in the Jiwaka province.

 

Domil village is the home and living model of the World Health Organization Community Based Health Care program widely known as Healthy Island village.

 

Maguwerr Foundation team leader, Mr. Cyril GAre says they want to visit and understudy the development model of Domil with the view and intention to return and develop their own village development plan.

 

The Domil healthy island model is used as a key element of planning and adoption of the Vision 2050 of the National Government.
