Sonoma Adventist TeachersCollege in East New Beitain will now be able to increasethe number of student intake.
The college will open its new and improverd female students’rsquo; accommodation early next month; a project it has worked on for the past 18 months.
Thin PNG AustraliaIncentive Fund projectoaims to increasethe proportion of graduates to be able to produce qualiflied and sufficient teachers for various education subjects.
Part ofthe project was also to build a new health education clinic.
This part ofthe project seeks to address social inclusion issues such as HIV and AIDS, disability and child protection, which is one ofthe core subjects of teacher training courses offered atthe college.
It will also increasethe level of security for female students’accessingInformation Technology services, by havingthese resources installed withinthe dormitory.
The two million kina project was counter-funded bythe school as well, with over three-hundred thousand kina.
