A K20, 000 cheque was presented tothe Salvation Army yesterday bythe Logging Company, Rimbunan Hijau (RH) to help support various community service programs aroundthe country.
The donation was presented by RH’s Foundation representative Ivan Lu attheir Head Office in Port Moresby.
Salvation Army relies heavily on donations to keep its operations running.
Salvation Army’s Territorial Commander Neil Webb saidthe funding will go to various outreach programs; including regular ministry visits to settlements and literacy programs.
The workthe Salvation Army does far exceed monetary value. Bet at least K400, 000 is needed annually to operate.
An annual red shield appeal is held every September.
