The Extraction Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI) held an awareness about its role in Papua New Guinea.
This took place in Gulf Province, where the people had an opportunity to air their views on upcoming projects in the extractive industry, more particularly the Papua LNG Project.
Also, this month, Oil Search shareholders were given an update of the company’s performance in 2015.
As expected, 2015 was somewhat a mixed year; the company having to deal with relatively low world prices.
Oil Search did however, have highlights, its largest ever production volume to date in a single year; a testament to the efforts of its staff.
