Prominent Lawyer Paul Paraka was arrested around 7.30am this morning just outside Kupiano station.
He was then escorted to the National Fraud and Anti-Corruption Directorate for interrogation.
Upon arrival Mr Paraka briefed the media saying his arrest was regrettable.
Paraka says he will exercise his rights and seek justice through the courts.
After 4 hours of interrogation, Mr Paraka was charged and released on bail.
Paraka has strongly voiced that the state and Fraud squad must have evidence to prover him guilty.
Chairman of Task Force Sweep Sam Koim is yet to release a statement regarding Mr Paraka’s arrest.
