Lae Police have caught one of the prime suspects involved in the murder of Dr. Alphonse Rongap in June this year.
The suspect, Matthew David, was caught by Madang police at Yagaum in Madang last Monday.
Lae Metropolitan Commander, Chief Superintendent, Anthony Wagambie, said Lae police sent information to Madang police following a tip off which resulted in the arrest.
The suspect was transported to Lae and was arrested, charged and is now at Buimo jail awaiting a court hearing.
This arrest now brings the number of suspects arrested in the killing of Dr. Rongap to five. Two more suspects are on the run.
