Prime Minister: Vote of No Confidence a Waste of Time

By Fabian Hakalits – EM TV News, Port Moresby

Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, says the Vote of No Confidence Motion is a waste of time.

He said there are real issues the parliament should debate instead.

The Prime Minister also held a news conference after yesterday’s parliament sitting and spoke about the Vote of No Confidence, in which he said the government still has the numbers to defeat the motion.

“Numbers are clear, that the opposition should not play around with seven, eight or nine members of parliament. The opposition are just trying to create issues, so that we all waste time managing these issues,” he said.

The Prime Minister’said that managing the issues of Papua New Guinea are far more important than that of the issues raised by the opposition in parliament this week.
