Primary School Teacher Caught Assisting Exam Cheaters in Morobe

A teacher was found assisting students to cheat during the Grade 8 Examinations.  He is now in police custody.

The Grade 7 teacher teaches in a rural primary school in Morobe Province.

The Education Program Advisor for Morobe, Keith Jiram says the teacher was discovered to be aiding cheaters by some students. The matter was then reported to the head teacher who then reported the matter to the Provincial Education Division.

Jiram says the teacher has been doing the same for previous years until he was caught this year.

Teachers and students involved in cheating rackets will be severely disciplined.
