Member for Komo-Magarima Francis Potape has joined ranks withthe government effective as of Wednesday, May 01.
He says pressure from his people has influenced his decision.
Mr. Potape met with lLeadersfromthe Southern Highlands Province in a show of solidarity to safe guardthe LNG Project.
He also announced his decision to be part ofthe O’Neill Dion Government.
The LNG project he says is in a crisis state with a 30 days’ notice given by Hela Governor Anderson Aigiru.
He felt by being withthe government he can supportthe Prime Minister andthe Exxon Mobile lead team to deliverthe first gas whilst atthe same time addressingthe issues onthe ground.
He said monetary benefits are not everythingthe people wants. They want to see genuine lLeadersip and partnership by relevant Ministersand line government departments.
This he says is crucial in gettingthe work done.
