Port Moresby Rains

It finally rained yesterday in Port Moresby, after a long dry season.

Residents of Port Moresby said it was a blessing in disguise that will ease water rationing and provide water supply to city residents.

Residents of Port Moresby were very fortunate to have received an amount of downpour yesterday after the continuous dry spell.

They say the rain will be an advantage that will increase water level in the Sirinumu Dam and provide adequate water supply to residents, with ease to water rationing.

Port Moresby has received rainfall for the first time after a seven and half months of dry season.

Residents along the Laloki river, describe an increase of water level by 5 metres.

According to the weather service report, Port Moresby is expecting few showers with possible thunder storms tonight.
