The Enekuai Primary School in the Kurumbukari plateau of the Usino-Bundi district of Madang province, yesterday received a timely donation of 60 desks at the commencement of the 2015 academic year.
There was celebration and excitement in the air, among the Enekuai community, when the President of Ramu NiCo (MCC) Limited, Wang Jicheng, travelled to the school to hand over the desks to students, teachers and parents.
Enekuai is one of the relocation sites in the Kurumbukari plateau where villagers were relocated to, following nickel/cobalt extraction in the area.
