Charity hospital, Hospital Poroman Foundation (HPF), officially handed over life saving medical equipment to Popondetta General Hospital today.
The health equipment includes a omron digital BP monitor, rad-5 portable Oximeter, 25 beds, an electrocardiograph, suction pump and a microscope.
The equipment cost over K45,000 and was paid by through the hospital’s charitable fundraisers.
Popondetta General Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Dr Gunzee Garwin, says the equipment is timely to serve the province to the highest standard.
Dr Garwin says the life saving medical equipment will make big differences for the hospital, as well as adding capacity to the current facilities of the hospital.
Popondetta General Hospital is one of the hospitals (HPF) is helping with medical equipment.
Other recipients include Kavieng General Hospital, Namatanai and Samarai.
