POM Hockey Season Kicks-off

The Port Moresby Pre-season kicks off this weekend with a total of twelve teams confirmed to take part in this year’s competition.

The tournament runs for two weeks from which Team Port Moresby will be selected for the National Hockey Championships in Madang in two months.                                            

All games will be played atthe Sir John Guise stadium starting on Sunday.

Six clubs registered are Besmark, BeP, NGI, Seagulls, Sunam and united each filling one men and one woman team.

The teams are already inthe draw and set for the challenge.

The Port Moresby Hockey Association Secretary Caroline Kahai apologizes for the late start asthe association was uncertain withthe use ofthe multi- purpose oval atthe Sir John Guise Stadium.

She highlightsthe importance ofthe games andthe preparation towardsthe 2015 Pacific Games.
