PNGIA and Partners Increase Market in Construction Product Technology

Papua New Guinea Institute of Architects and partners, in a move to increase building materials availability in Papua New Guinea among other Pacific island nations, hosted an Architects trade show on Wednesday at the Lamana Hotel.

The trade show, exclusively for the Architect community in the country, showcased the latest in construction product technology specifically for the PNG construction context.

Based in Townsville, Australia, the Pacific Islands International is an international building materials supply company servicing PNG and the Pacific. Wednesday’s trade show although was solely for the architectural community, will pave the way forward for advancement in the construction industry, supplying advanced building materials suitable for PNG tropical conditions.

According to Managing Director, Ashley Finn, the company is family run.

Finn added that the highlight of operating in PNG is that the emerging economy of PNG creates great opportunity in the future for his company.

Pacific Islands International is currently distributing its hardware supplies through Badili Hardware. From the wide range of products supplied by the company, Luxury paints stands out with a not so common graffiti buster paint, and even a fire shield paint that can withstand fire in a longer period of time compared to regular paints.
