National Education Minister, Nick Kuman, says that 3,000 schools nationwide failed to comply with the Tuition Fee Free Policy guidelines.
Mr Kuman told Parliament that these were schools which failed to submit required documents to access these funds.
Important documents include the enrollment census and bank accounts.
The Minister said that National Government made available a further of K54 million to accommodate these 3,000 schools. In return, these schools were paid on levels.
Mr Kuman said that K342 million were warranted, that catered for all 13,000 schools for the 2015 academic year.
The National Government has so far paid K185 million, to all the schools around the country.
Mr Kuman had warned all schools nationwide to submit the required documents in future. Failure to do so will result in no payments given to schools, and this will affect their children’s eduction.
He said schools have a moral obligation to ensure proper documents are submitted.
