Takingthe government’s implementation call outoPolice Commissioner Tom Kulunga last week Friday instructed his officers to perform.
Speaking atthe Dedication Service in Port Moresby, Commissioner Kulunga said 2013 must be a year of achievement. And one ofthem is a stop to reports of police brutality.
The dedication service was held atthe Sion Kami Memorial Church in Port Moresby.
It was well attended by senior members ofthe Force, amongstthem Police Commissioner Tom Kulunga and his deputies.Inthe absence of Minister responsible for Police, Special guests were minister for Religion Youth and Community affairs, Loujaya Toni and Health Minister Michael Malabag.
The occasion was for dedication and blessing ofthe Police Force for the year 2013.
Minister for Community affairs, Loujaya Toni called on all Police Officers to performtheir duties with Christian values and ethics to truly fight crime.
Health Minister Michael’saidthe O’Neill government is fully aware ofthe struggles faced by Police nationwide likethe aging workforce.
Commissioner Kulunga thanked all his officers for the 2012 National Election operations and wished for a successful year ahead.
