Australian NRL players, David Mead, Nene McDonald and Bulldogs-bound Rhys Martin, will not be taking part in this weekend’s Prime Minister’s 13 clash, as players on the Papua New Guinea team.
This was made known by Papua New Guinea Coach, Michael Marum, at the National Football Stadium.
The reason share is due to their recent signing with other NRL Clubs.
Mead will move to the Broncos, McDonald to the Dragons, and Martin will join the Bulldogs.
Coach Michael Marum still remains confident with the team he has to work with.
Six players from the SP PNG Hunters have been named in the team, and Marum says they will be using their experience from the Intrust Super Cup to lead the team.
Coach Marum says everything is going well, with the Lae Tigers combination of Noel Joel and Kalas Mafu working with Hunters Ase Boas and Wartovo Puara Junior.
The team captain will be named on Friday before the Saturday match at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
