The PNG Mosquitoes were unstoppable in their face off with South Africa yesterday at Royal Park. The match was played in Melbourne, Australia.
Coming into the game after two days of proper rest and hard training, the Mosquitoes were ready to give their best.
The Mosquitoes, who scored first, led for most of the game. They then held for the whole of the game by annihilating South Africa with a final score of 113 points to South Africa’s 4.
As they take a break and prepare for the title-defending grand final match this Saturday against New Zealand, PNG is hoping to be the first country to win back-to-back International Cup titles.
The PNG Flames,on the other hand, are now to compete for 5th place against their Pacific sisters, Fiji. They had sent Pakistan home empty-handed, and a 150-point drubbing.
