The 2017 PNG Investment Conference began this morning in Sydney, Australia.
The conference, hosted by Business Advantage International, gathered the business communities from around the Asia-Pacific region for its 6th cross-industry, investment event.
Adding to its already weighty program, the 2-day conference will include tomorrow’s Pacific Investment Seminar.
Despite the country’s economic challenges and election turmoil in the last few months, the turnout was stellar at the first day of the 2017 PNG Investment Conference.
Stakeholders from across sectors and industries and across the region gathered to give updates and discuss issues and solutions.
Among them, was Central Bank Governor, Loi Bakani, who gave an update on the country’s economy.
The injection of funds into the economy is mainly to assist PNG businesses with dealing with their overseas suppliers.
