PNG Hunters Return from Anzac Day Match

By Dinnierose Raiko – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

The SP PNG Hunters returned to Port Moresby today after losing their Anzac Day clash against the Burleigh Bears on Monday.

Upon their arrival, team trainer Nigel Hukula confirmed the return of co-Captain Noel Zeming, and utility back, Adex Wera for their next game this Sunday at the National Football Stadium against the Redcliffe Dolphins.

Coach Michael Marum said this is a “must win” game as the Hunters will have a bye over the following two weeks.

The two-point loss to Burleigh sees the Hunters sit in third placing on the ladder, with their opponent for this weekend the Redcliffe moving up to second spot after 28-26 win against Easts Tigers.

Returning to take the field this weekend as well are Wartovo Puara at hooker, and Watson Boas in the halves.

Co-Captain Adam Korave will be in the back row in the starting line up alongside Timothy Lomai.
