PNG and New Caledonia Draw on Day 2 of OFC Nations Cup in Port Moresby

A ten men Papua New Guinea team have drawn with New Caledonia in their opening match.

Tommy Semmy opened the scoring for Papua New Guinea on an entertaining match day two.

The hosts, Papua New Guinea, looked to create history against the two time OFC Nations Cup Runners Up, and did so, when Tommy Semmy scored in the 37th minute.

Tommy Semmy’s send off in the 79th minute caused problems for PNG later on, and PNG would concede in the 83rd minute Jean-phillipe Saiko.

Drama came on the 90th minute, when a cheap penalty inside the box saw New Caledonia gifted a chance. But, their failure to score had PNG fighting on for the draw.
