PNG Air Cancels Flights to Misima

Airline operator, PNG Air Limited, has cancelled all their scheduled flight services into Misima Island, Milne Bay Province.

In a statement released to EMTV News, at 6.30 PM today, Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Abbot, said all flights were cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. The bad weather condition has caused damage to the runway perimeter.

“As a result, scheduled flight services have been cancelled to this port of Misima until further notice.”

PNG Air says that they will strictly monitor the situation on a daily basis.

PNG Air has sincerely apologised to the travelling passengers and stated that the airline is hoping to resume services as soon as possible.

The airline values safety which is of paramount importance in its business operations.
