PMV Operators in East Sepik presents Petition to Provincial Government

By Theckla Gunga – EMTV News

The issuing of PMV Licenses without proper board approvals, the increase in fuel prices, and the inefficiency of the Transport Board in Wewak were amongst a list of grievances presented in a petition to the East Sepik Provincial Government.

The petition was drafted by PMV Operators, raising issues operators servicing routes in Wewak Urban are faced with, when doing business.

The increase in fuel prices is a constant challenge.

But while fuel prices have increased, the PMV fare charged has remained at one kina for the last five years.

PMV operators are asking the provincial government to make changes to the structure of the Transport Board in Wewak.
