Petrol Supply Back to Normal in Port Moresby

Good news for Petrol consumers in Port Moresby, with fuel supplier Puma Energy announcing the re-supply of Petrol to the Port Moresby market.

Puma Energy Country Manager PNG, Jim Collings made this known late this afternoon, three weeks after Petrol supplies were suspended due to a lack of liquidity within the foreign exchange.

He said following consultation by Puma Energy, with the National Government and Central Bank, a position has been reached to allow for Petrol supplies to recommence.

“Puma Energy thanks the Government and Central Bank for their intervention, without which we would not have been able to recommence the supply of Petrol,” said Collings.

We look forward to their continued support for a sustainable solution and working together on an ongoing basis for the good of Papua New Guinea and its people,” he added.

But the good news for fuel consumers doesn’t end there – as a sign of gratitude for their patience in recent weeks, motorists will be given a 10toea per-litre discount on Petrol and Zoom at the bowser, over the coming days.
