As part of his dream and aspiration to improve health services in the district, member for Lagaip-Porgera Nixon Mangape delivered a new vehicle to the Porgera Hospital last Friday.
Presenting the key, Mr Mangape said the vehicle was purchased as part of the K1 million allocated for the hospital this year from his electorate JDP and BPC budget.
While receiving the vehicle key from Mr Mangape, chief executive officer of Porgera Hospital, Dr Moises Granada thanked the MP for his never-ending kindness to the people of Porgera.
“Pray for MP for him to continue sharing his blessing to us. He is the only leader who cares for his people,” Dr Granada said.
Doctor Granada is from the Philippines. This is his 16th year working for the hospital.
Other medical equipment bought included an ultrasound scanning machine, an x-ray machine, an ECG (electro-cardiogram) machine and an autoclave machine.
MP Mangape urged the people of Paiam villages to continue looking after the hospital as it is a very important service.
The presentation was witnessed by over 200 people including nurses, doctors, administration staff, patients and their guardians.
