The Pacific in Union was proved to be a success in Rabaul last week.
Students and teachers from the 8 nominated schools made full use of the equipment and teaching materials that were presented to them by PiU Country Manager, Frank Genia.
Eager Students ranging from the U-9s to the U-15s turned up for the roll out of the PiU Program in Rabaul last week.
After receiving their equipment from PNGRFU, PiU Country Manager, Frank Genia was also on hand to conduct the program alongside the teachers.
Tony Namur, Regional Development Officer, was excited to see students not only turn up for school, but also stayed in the school in Rabaul.
The Pacific in Union Program also conducted a coaching program for the teachers in Goroka for 4 nominated schools, and will be presenting equipment in support of the PiU Program in Goroka.
Moses Koko, President of Eastern Highlands Rugby Football Union (EHRFU), is enthusiastic about reviving and strengthening the code in the province, which is currently, dominated by other sports.
