Nominations Open for CPL Pride of PNG Awards for Women

The nominations for the 2015 CPL Pride of Papua New Guinea Awards for Women, were officially opened by the Patron of the Awards, Governor General, Grand Chief Sir Michael Oigo.

The announcement made in Port Moresby on Tuesday 19th May, will see more women being recognised for their community services in the six award categories.

Each year, six phenomenal Papua New Guinean women are awarded medals and receive assistance from City Pharmacy Limited.

Since its inception, these highly prestigious awards have attracted women nominees, nationwide, from all walks of life.

The awards have six categories. They are: Young PNG, Bravery and Courage, Community Spirit, Care and Compassion, Environment and Education Role Model.

The uniqueness of the awards is that the winners receive annual assistance from CPL for projects carried out in their communities. 

Winners of the 2014 CPL Papua New Guinea Awards for Women, Janet Yaki and Monica Paulus, were also present to witness the launch.

The nominations will close on the 31st of August.
