Much needed urology equipment for the Port Moresby General Hospital was delivered yesterday.
On hand to receivethem was Health and HIV/AIDS Minister Michael Malabag. Mr Malabagsaidthe equipment will save lives and also reduce costs.
PNG'’s Chief Surgeon and Senior Urologist Dr Osborne Liko saidthe laparoscopic equipment will be used in different surgeries from kidney gall stones to knee and joint surgery.
Dr Likothen raised a concern onthe equipment’s sustainability and called onthe health department to assists in repairs.

The laparoscopic equipment is fitted with a high definition camera tower that operates with Advanced Imaging Data Archiving.
