New Hela Province begins counting

Counting has begun in the new Hela province as of yesterday.

The Preliminary count, running results are as follows:

For the Hela Regional seat, Andy Kapa Kenamu (Independent) is leading with 3868 votes, followed closely by Anderson Pawa Agiru (People’s United Assemby), and followed by Larry labe Andagali (PNC) with 2425 votes.

In Komo Magarima, Komo Hengebe Haluya (Independent) is in the lead with 766 votes, followed by Kerry Maimai Lero (Independent) on 464 votes, and Amos Tanda (Independent) 432.

For the Koroba Lake-Kopiago, Philip Undialu (THE Party) is leading with 3213 votes, followed by PNG Party candidate John Kekeno (PNG Party) with 1064 votes, and Petrus Thomas Nane (PNC) with 973.

In the Tari Pori, James Marape (PNC) is in the lead with 2394 votes, followed by Jonny Pokaya Philip (Independent) 1095 votes and George Tagobe (PNG Party) with 909 votes.

Counting continues today and results are set to change.
