BSP donates K80,000 to Swimming

Papua New Guinea Swimming Inc today received a major boost of K80 000 from Bank South Pacific.

BSP has been supporting the code since 2002 and is proud of being involved in the development of the sport.

Also at the presentation was BSP’s Sport ambassador and 2004 Commonwealth Gold medalist Ryan Pini.

The bank is the major sponsor of the PNG Swimming Inc and its Aquatic Excellence and development programs, including the BSP Learn to Swim and life-saving program, placing particular emphasis on the teaching of water safety, swimming and survival skills to young children in schools throughout the country.

Alotau in the Milne Province and Lae in the Morobe Province are being prioritized for the BSP Learn To Swim program this year.
