In the National Volleyball Championship U21 grand final, NCD Volleyball Association dominated both the men’s and the women’s divisions.
This afternoon’s matches saw the NCDVA men’s and women’s team outdo tougher opponents, Hula and Fairfax.
In the U21 Men’s, NCDVA Team (1) went against NCDVA Team (3) and Team 1 proved to be the better team as they defeated their brother team, 2 sets to 1.
And in the women’s Grand Final, after beating Fairfax team (1), NCDVA Team (1) went on to play Hula, and despite best efforts from the Hula side with the likes of National Rep Wari Pala, the NCDVA side were too strong as they won the first two sets.
With some skilful set ups and blocks from the Hula side, they managed to win the third set.
Attempts to save the match from another NCDVA snatch went to no avail, as the NCD side again grabbed the two last sets, making a total win of 4 sets to 1.
Meanwhile, the men’s and women’s open divisions face their competitions this afternoon following the U21 Grand Final.
