National Housing Estate Limited Says Touaguba Hostel Property is Condemned

Following the eviction notice served to tenants at the Touaguba Hostel in Port Moresby, NHEL has broken its silence, saying the property is condemned.

A National Housing Estates officer said city authorities have decided for the buildings to be demolished.

NHEL said health and building inspectors have downgraded the property upon inspection.

However, tenants told EMTV News that most of the renovation work to the property has been done by them.

They say the last renovation by NHC was in 2002.
