The national boxing team has had training camps in preparation for the 2015 Pacific Games, and has fought against some of the best in the region.
They are currently going through the high altitude training camp in the Philippines under the supervision of National Coach, Joe Aufa, and expert coach, Alan Nicoleson.
Boxing President, John Avira, said training and preparations leading up to the Pacific Games is on track.
Our boxers have shown they are ready to win gold for the country and face off with our biggest rivals in July.
The team will be back on the 17th of June, then prepare for the Queensland Fight night.
The Lamana Fight Night will be staged on 20 June, for the second year running, and will feature invitational fighters from Queensland, Australia, and the Papua New Guinea national boxing team
President Avira thanked their fellow sponsors for supporting the team and appealed to potential sponsors to also support the fight night.
