MVIL Opens Kerema Office

By Mickey Kavera – EM TV, Kerema

Motor Vehicle Insurance Limited (MVIL) has opened its new office in Kerema, Gulf Province, bringing the total number of MVIL offices throughout the country to 22.

Chief Executive Officer of MVIL, Joe Wemin, said that this is part of the company’s three year strategic plan to open offices throughout the country.

He said that MVIL has invested over K120, 000 to bring the service to the province through the opening of the new office, which will allow for vehicle registration to be done within the province, rather than in NCD or Central Province, as in the past.

Much needed internal revenue will also be generated for the provincial coffers.

Wemin says, the province has missed out on this, and it is their aim to give back what rightfully belongs to the provincial government. Of the total revenue generated from the vehicle registration, 95 per cent will be retained by the provincial government, while 5 per cent will go to MVIL.

The launch of MVIL’s Manus office, later in the year, will complete their expansion program to service the whole of Papua New Guinea.
