MVIL Claims to be Processed in All Provinces

Motor Vehicle Insurance Limited has adopted a new claimant system to deal with the increasing numbers of insurance claims in the country.

This system is designed to bring MVIL’s services to every province and to deal with clients within a period of 6 months as contracted by ICCC and the Insurance Commission.

This system is part of MVIL’s major reforms undertaken from its 3-year Strategic Plan- 2013 to 2015.

It covers two priority areas:
1. Registering 3rd party to collect revenue for insurance and registration
2. Settle claims for vehicles involving car accidents

With MVIL’s ambition to decentralise functions in every province around Papua New Guinea, officers from other centres were called to attend this training.

This training is important because it provides an avenue for officers to deliver services more efficiently and effectively through provincial offices.

Currently certain functions are centralised in Port Moresby.
