Widow of respected and wealthy Hollywood director, TV Mogul, Aaron Spelling, is facing charges made against her bytheLandlord of her high-rise dwelling, after staying on beyondthe expiration date ofthe lease agreement.
TMZ reports thatthe company owningthe unit’stated in court documents filed on February 22 in L.A. County Superior Court that Candy Spelling’s lease ended onthe 31st of January. The former socialite has however refused to leave saying that she already paid rental for the month of February.
According to TMZthe 67 year old author said “she extendedthe lease for 6 months … and even paid for the month of February.” She has also claimed to have paid US$10, 000.00 for repairing an air conditioning unit inthe building, has been charged double for utilities and for sharing her private elevator with ther building occupants.
The mther of actress Tori Spelling, took up residence atthe The Carlyle while her lavish penthouse, purchase for an estimated US$35 million is being renovated. TMZ statesthe rental at Candy’s temporary rented home sits at a whopping US$28,000.00 per month.
