Motu-Koita Nines Quarter Finals

Kicking off with the bowl quarter finals, with the first four teams, the last match was between Muriogo and Elevala Country that saw a thrilling encounter between both sides.

With great passes on hand, for the Muriogo, they managed to get through the gap to score their first try, bringing their score to 6 with a successful conversion.

It wasn’t long before half time that another opportunity came again for Muriogo, executing with another successful try to bring the score up to 10 points.

Elevala Country, on the other hand, with three 3 minutes remaining on the clock, struggled to reach the opponents try line only seconds before the halftime whistle.

After half time, Elevala Country, managed to create some momentum, creating a fence to stop its opponent from scoring, while having to push harder, scoring their first try at only five minutes into full time.

At full time whistle, Muriogo managed to nail the coffin, with 14 points victory, Elevala Country 8.

In the Plate round, the first match between, TI Force and Baruni Eagles saw a rather tough match, but with fifth minute into the first half, TI Force didn’t waste time, to score their first try, six points with successful conversion.

While Baruni Eagles dragged their feet behind, TI Force added extra energy, scoring their second try at the 8th minute, bringing the core up to 10 points with conversion unsuccessful.

The scores remained 10-nil at half time, and continued into the full time round, when Baruni Eagles decided to run on strong ground, managing to score their first try, but at full time whistle.

The final score was 10-4, in favour of TI Force.

In another match, Poreporena was defeated by Poreporena White with 18 points to 12.

The competition continued onto to the semi-final round after the Elimination rounds, followed by the Finals.
