James Chalmers was the first to have landed in the gulf province in 1885, as the first Missionary from the London Missionary Society to spread the word of God. He was known as Tamate by the locals. He was killed my the natives but his good work continued by the missinaries that followed him.

Standing by the pillars of hard work, discipline, loyalty and perseverance, the Brother’s rugby club has endured tough times over the years but feel that after maintaining longevity for such a long time, the opportunity has presented itself in showcasing themselves as a force.

 

Speaking at the launching of the Kramer Ausenco Brother’s Invitational Seven’s Tournament Club President George Koi, also a former player, has said that they are looking at raising their standards from club level to be more competitive on the national stage.

 

Kramer Ausenco Chief Executive Officer Frank Kramer said the company is proud to support the invitational tournament, and is pleased with their performances and initiatives off the field.

 

Of the 16 Teams that will be taking part in the tournament, a number of them will be from other Centre’s including the Kimbe Rebels, Morobe Hammerheads, Daru Stingrays and Gulf Lokea.

 

The tournament will run from March 8th, and end the following day.
