Ministers Pledge Support for School

Situated atthe foothills of Waigani Heights is Waigani Christian School. There are over 1000 students’and more to be expected inthe new year. To cater for this,the school opened seven classrooms. It was a great turn–out as students’sat underthe shade ofthe canvas to withnessthe milestone achievement.

Director and former Member for North Waghi, Benjamin Mul, said it was his passion to educatethe human resource oPNG. He pursued his dream and startedthe school in 1993 with only 13 students’ all without government assistance fromthe beginning.

 

However, atthe opening this morning, Government Ministerspledgedthey will supportthe school.

 

Special guests atthe classroom opening was NCD Governor, Powes Parkop, Acting Minister for Education, James Marape, and Member for Moresby North WestoMichael Malabag, among thers. They admitted that private schools played an important role in educating Papua New Guineas. Unlike before,they committed to helping Waigani Christian School. Notably, NCD Governor, Powes Parkop reaffirmed his commitment of K1million.
